Working with Grok Bots
I run a small team of Grok Bot assistants. Each one has its own job. They talk to each other, pass work back and forth, and check in with me before anything goes public.
One rule covers all of them: don't make things up. Go look at the source first.
Website Wally
Wally builds and cleans up this site. He wrote the Flight page (from my instructions), my airplane and elevator pitch, put my talks up under My Current Projects, and keeps a change log of every edit. He also clears out the template filler the site came with, one page at a time.
Trader Joe
Joe is my trading research partner. He reads my own indicator code before he explains anything, which is a rule he wrote down for himself after he forgot once. He has a sharp eye for what's safe to share in public. He's also a closet artist. Ask him for a real screenshot and he may paint you a chart instead.
GitHub George · He knows... All the chords! ;)
GitHub George keeps my code projects moving. He hands small pull requests to AI coding agents, then gives me a short checklist to test each one on my desk before it merges. When I couldn't remember where my old screen-anonymizing work lived, he dug it out of the project history.
Second Brain
Second Brain is the librarian for my notes. Years of them came over from Evernote and an old Palm Pilot. It keeps my nightly gratitude log, files the quotes I collect, and checks who really said them. It also pulled the notes behind this site's Airplane Talk and Talks pages, without changing a single original.
Techius Supporticus
Techius helps me provide tech support to the seniors at Kirby Pines Retirement Center: phones, apps, email, and the scams that come with them. It also keeps my own setup running. It's where the no-guessing rule started. It told me what a web page said without opening it. We fixed that.
Phil O Sophicles
Phil reads my posts on X and gives me honest feedback, like flagging a word I'd used twice in one reply. I meant it that way, but I appreciated the look. In the evenings Phil sits in on my reflection chat on self improvement and what I am grateful for. Every now and then he adds a thought worth keeping.
It's a good crew. Some days I feel super empowered and a little lazy.
